Dr Carys Sonnenberg
Rowena Health is a private Menopause Specialist & Women’s Health Clinic founded by Dr Carys Sonnenberg. Carys is passionate about providing personalised, holistic care, giving you knowledge and understanding to support your health and wellbeing now, and in the future. She is a highly experienced GP, and works both in the NHS and privately, at Rowena Health. She is an accredited BMS Menopause Specialist, dedicated to providing care to people all over the UK via video link, or in person, at her Guildford based Clinic.
Carys holds the British Menopause Society Advanced Certificate of Menopause care and Diplomas from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Health. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, of the International and the British Menopause Society. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and in Nutrigenomics. She is passionate about education and sits on the education committee of the Primary Care Women’s Health Forum. She regularly speaks at conferences and teaches health professionals and women about women’s health and menopause at events all over the country. She supports corporate clients with educational for staff.
When she isn’t working she loves walking and exploring the Dorset coastline with her family, friends and her little dog.
Dr Rachael Chrystal
Rachael is passionate about providing individualised, evidence-based care that supports your wellbeing and holistic health. She works as an NHS GP and as a private menopause specialist and is highly experienced in supporting women with perimenopause, menopause, PMS and PMDD. She holds the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and is completing her Advanced Certificate of Menopause Care with the British Menopause Society. She is a member of the BMS and National Association for Premenstrual Syndromes.
Rachael is an experienced career and leadership coach, specialising in wellbeing, and is accredited by the EMCC. Over the past two years she has been completing an MSc in positive psychology and coaching psychology. This has allowed her to understand the science and practice of supporting wellbeing and flourishing in the contexts of life, work and health, which has had a hugely positive influence on her medical work.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature with her dog, running and travel; and benefits from practising yoga and teaches weekly classes in her local area.
